Cleopatra and Mark Antony….

Over the past 15 years, I have dated 8 People (seriously) in my life. I have also been with two more more casually. Out of the 10 people only 3 have been black. Only one out of the three have been serious, and even then the lighter side of the moon appealed and infidelity became issue.

Here in Boston, everything that is female and isn’t Black is choice for the Black male. In fact in Boston – Cleo and Mark Antony live quite well if is not already the upcoming norm in New England.

Don’t get me wrong, I prefer someone one of my own race. In fact, being a Black Bajan Hispanic myself demands the sight of delicious brown skin and the pride it covers within. Though I can’t agree with everything this particular BLOGGER wrote..the below makes a very good point.

“The law of supply and demand dictates than when supply drops and demand remains stable, the price of the commodity increases. You may say that we, white men, shouldn’t date Asian women. But it’s nice to have the option so that there are enough women for all the men and avoid a disequilibrium that results in one side being much more “valuable” than the other.

Black women are faced with that very disequilibrium. There’s much more demand for black men than there’s supply, and black men know it. Anyone who knows the law of supply and demand realizes that it means that black men can abuse black women. This abuse need not necessarily be in the form of beatings – it could be abandoning the mother of your child, sleeping with women for whom you are unwilling to do anything and from whom you will steal.

Black women are facing a penis shortage, for a lack of better term. They can’t “trap their man” and force him to “buy the cow” because they know that another woman will be willing to take him just for the sex, or just to have a child with someone.

Black men, thus, need not be fathers, husbands or even boyfriends. This naturally upsets women who want a husband and a father for their children.”

strongblackmanIn my experience, the Black men I have dealt with – are extremely volatile and finicky. Most talk a very good “game” to get what they want from a woman. Now some Asian and White men alike are also like this..but never more so than the Black male.

So..lets take a time out from my personal experience…and go directly to the numbers..

“At midyear 2008, there were 4,777 black male inmates per 100,000 black males held in state and federal prisons and local jails, compared to 1,760 Hispanic male inmates per 100,000 Hispanic males and 727 white male inmates per 100,000 white males.”

The National Urban League has said these higher rates of incarceration of young Black males to increasing urban crime rates, and other recent studies have found that by their mid-30s, 6 in 10 Black men who had dropped out of high school had spent time in jail.

Now I cannot under any circumstances ..”blame” Black men for not stepping up when the black woman is concerned…

“Francis Beal describes the black woman as a slave of a slave. Let me quote: “By reducing the black man in America to such abject oppression, the black woman had no protector and she was used – and is still being used – in some cases as the scapegoat for the evils that this horrendous system has perpetrated on black men.

Her physical image has been maliciously maligned. She has been sexually molested and abused by the white colonizer. She has suffered the worst kind of economic exploitation, having been forced to serve as the white woman’s maid and wet-nurse for white offspring, while her own children were more often starving and neglected.

It is the depth of degradation to be socially manipulated, physically raped and used to undermine your own household – and then to be powerless to reverse this syndrome.”

The Black Man cannot depend on his Black Woman.. And the Black Woman has lost trust in her Black Man.

So where does this lead the Black family? Extinction.
